Cases are the centre of the platform

In Ghana we say case, not matter — the platform uses "case" throughout.

Creating a case

Cases → New case. Provide a title, suit/case number, court, practice area and status. You can import many cases at once with the bulk importer (CSV) on the Cases page.

Inside a case

  • Parties — plaintiffs, defendants, counsel. Adding parties automatically runs a conflict check against your firm's other cases.
  • Assignments — assign a lead and supporting lawyers. Only assigned staff see the case in "mine" filters and personal calendar feeds.
  • Tasks & checklist — deadlines with owners and priorities.
  • Updates — a running timeline of hearings, filings, rulings, notes and deadlines.
  • Documents — folders, uploads, approvals and e-signature requests.
  • Authorities — cases and statutes you are relying on, pulled from the law library.
  • Billing — time entries, disbursements and invoices for that case.

Tips

  • Use the status field consistently; the analytics and profitability dashboards read it.
  • Close a case when judgment is delivered so it drops out of active workload counts.
